Marta Kostyuk is a prominent Ukrainian tennis player popular in her homeland thanking to her being vocal about the war in Ukraine using the top level international tennis platform to reach a vast audience. Where Was Marta Kostyuk Born?
Marta was born in Kyiv, Ukraine on 28 June 2002 (age 21). She is the daughter of Oleh Kostyuk and his wife, Talina Beiko. Marta’s maternal uncle is a former Ukrainian professional tennis player Taras Beiko.
Marta Kostyuk Performance At Australian Open 2024
In her first match Kostyuk predictably outperformed American Claire Liu who has a ranking 99 in WTA Tour. In the second round the opponent was relatively stronger, seeded 25 Belgian Elise Mertens. Kostyuk won a three set match against her.
The following two matches were against the players from the country with no flag which Kostyuk easily and without much resistance from the opponents.
Quarter final match was a real battle against top rated American Coco Gauff. In a three hour battle Kostyuk won the second set, which I’m sure will give a significant confidence boost to her career.
