This is a video I recorded couple of month ago for our YouTube channel. It didn’t get old since, so here it is with some text adaptation, Running Gifts in our Running series.

I mention in this video the following stuff:

I would like to start with the fact that the perfect gift for a runner doesn’t exis. It all depends on preferences, the kind of trails they go to, and what the runner already has.

What if you don’t want to give just a gift card or maybe you are that runner who is looking for some ideas for a gift for yourself? I’ll try to pick five products for different budgets, so that you have some flexibility to choose one. They will be described briefly.

Nike Pegasus 40

Number one in my list will be running shoes, and they are Nike Pegasus 40. Depending on when you see this page the next generation Nike Pegasus 41 can be already available on the market. These are great everyday training shoes.They feature zoom airpods in the outsole, great responsiveness, famous model that was first released in 1983, the year I was born 🙂

Running Vest

Gift idea number two is a running vest with reflective elements so that when you run along the road the cars can see you. Safety first! Vests are available in different designs and manufactured by different brands.

Running Gifts: Hoka Tecton X 2

Number three is another pair of running shoes this time for trail running application. My suggestion is Hoka Tecton X 2, that’s the same model as Tecton X but with revised upper part. Once again, next generation can be avaialble when you read this, check if Tecton X 3 is released.

Correct me if I’m wrong I think that’s the only Hoka trail running shoes with carbon fiber plates. They provide great control, stability, and responsiveness.

Garmin Forerunner 965

Number four in my list let’s take a look at a more expensive gift smart watch with a functionality to track running. My choice here will be Garmin Forerunner 965. It features a new bright Amoled display, the battery life is not an issue, it holds about three weeks without the need to recharge.

Running Gifts: Nike Zoom Fly 5

Number five running shoes again, this time it’s Nike Zoom Fly 5 (or 6 if they re available, nit yet released as of March 12th, 2024). These shoes are equipped with carbon fiber plates. Great energy return, one of the best choices for the road.
